How does the point system work in the state tournament? I don't know if any are different but if they are I want to know about 6a.

Matt, not sure what you mean but First = 16, second = 12, third = 9, fourth = 7, fifth = 5 and sixth = 3.

Advancement points are +2 on the champ side and +1 on the consolation side.

Win by Major = 1.0 bonus point
Win by Tech = 1.5 bonus points
Win by Fall = 2.0 bonus points

Individual Match scoring is the same as a regular dual
match.

To the best of my knowledge the point system at the state tournament works like all other tournaments where 6 places are scored...

16 points for first
12 points for second
9 points for third
7 points for fourth
5 points for fifth, and
3 points for sixth.

You get 2 advancement points for a win on the front side and 1 advancement point for a win on the back side.

One bonus point is awarded for a major decision, one and one-half points for a tech. fall and two points for a pin, injury default, disqualification, etc.
