Oh ok, thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't saying that this kid is a bad wrestler, as a matter of fact he must be pretty good to be wrestling for a team like Colby. I just didn't know if he had tough competition throughout the year, or if he just wrestled really well at regionals, or you know that weight just might not have been the toughest at that tounament.
He wrestled great at the regional tourney. He has really improved over the year and wrestled with a lot of confidence this weekend. He has wrestled good wrestlers close all year but could just never get the win. Last weekend he beat the number 3 seed in the quarters and then beat the number 4 seed in the consolation semifinals to go to state. Both of these wrestlers had winning records and had beaten him in close matches during the season, but he put together a great weekend. 189 was not the toughest weight at our regional, but you can't take anything away from Theo's great weekend!!!
Thanks for clearing that up, and congrats to theo. A lot of kids will just not even try if they have already lost to a kid, or if they are seeded lower than someone.
