Page was thrown out...after he got pinned he threw his stuff and walked out and punched the glass out of a fire hydrant...last I heard he would not cooperate and they took him to jail.
Page was wrestling the kid from Oakley who ultimately took 6th. He is not great but is strong and has a really good roll. He rolled Page and pinned him. Page then took his aggression out on the facilities and it just so happened he was observed by the head wrestling dude from KSHSAA who made the call to pitch him from the tourney.
I also heard the talk about being taken to jail. I asked a college staff i know and was told he did not think that was correct. I later saw Page sitting on the floor with his head in hands. I don't know Page but I don't think he is a bad kid. The agony of defeat overcame him and he re-acted badly in the heat of the moment. I wish him well.
I can say I know Luke and when I heard what happend I was so suprised. I will say this does not sound like him and I am guessing it was competition and expectations got the best of him at the time.
Hi At the state tournament in Hays, I comitted acts that i am not proud of and acts that have brought the respect that i have gained over the years falling down around me. I have been wrestling for 12 years and after the loss i lost my self. These acts were a disgrace to me as well as any organization i have been in, as well as Kansas Wrestling. I am truly sorry for all i have done.
Luke Hey this is Jeremy Roberts if you didnt know I figured u just lost it out there but for people like me that know u it was a matter of getting caught up in the time. It happens to everyone maybe not like that but it happens.
i just want to say i saw page do what he did at the 321A tournament and he lost my respect. but to come back and apoligize like he did i would hafta say that heza good man and he earns my respect back!
