Hutchinson Trinity is a small, private Methodist high school which, I do not believe, offers wrestling.
The wrestler for Hutch Trinity is Chandler Hart, who placed sixth (6th) in 3-2-1A at 119 lbs. last year.
Chandler's two coaches are his father and older brother. The managers, I believe, are Chandler's mother and younger brother.

Just a slight correction to this post. Hutch. Trinity is a 3A Catholic High School. We'd like to thank Herington High School and everyone that ran this fine tournament you did a great job! Coach Hart

Thank you for the correction! I was quite surprised when I did an internet search for Hutchinson Trinity and found the link listed below, claiming Hutchinson Trinity to be Methodist based. I thought I had been mistaken after many years of believing Trinity was Catholic. My original post stated Trinity was Catholic, however I edited the post based on this link. KS West Conference - Salina District Earlier in the season, I thought I saw Chandler listed in some of the dual results for Hutchinson High School. Did Chandler wrestle a couple of early duals for Hutchinson High School? Will you also be at Halstead this weekend?

Hart wrestles duals for hutch and practices with them because his school doesnt sponsor wrestling.

What happened to Geske? Was he sick or did he just plain get beat?
Maybe you're not an ugly human, but a good looking ape.....with exceptional verbal skills.

I think it was probably his first tournament this year...he has been injured. My guess is that he wasn't 100%.

This was Luke's first tournement since he had his knee go out. You could tell he was gased.
Oh and this is for Sweazy. Abilene had everyone there (all their varisty) besides three wrestlers, Taplin, Kriegbaum, and Cole(he blew out his knee).

Didn't Geske get a stall called against him resulting in a point for Monnington or was it the other way around, either way he got beat by a takedown right at the end of the match when it was tied 1-1, and he looked like he was going for a throw...slipped and Monnington landed on top with 1 second.
Does anyone know why Nonamaker (formerly of Osborne is now at Abilene?) Seems like Abilene mysteriously winds up with wrestlers coming in from other schools, and not the average wrestlers either.
As for the Chapman -Abilene scenario: if that's the truth of just the 3, then here's what the scoring would look like just using the Varsity guys and not counting CHS vs. Abilene JV guys (except for in the case of whoever this Cole kid is, because if he blew out his knee it's bye-bye for him on the year) so 130 and 160 don't count in head up matches even though both won by Chapman due to the JV clause here is the head to head scenario of the other matches to give you an idea of a team score in a dual:
103 Abilene wbf = 6pts 112 Abilene wb Mj= 4pts 119 Abilene wb d = 3pts (this one could go Chapman's way possibly in a rematch) 215 Chapman wbf = 6 pts
so just based on the Varsity points here is what you'd have = Ab 13 CHS 6...if you want my opinion on the whole dual I'll be glad to give it and breakdown match by match.

The Luke Geske Colby Monnington match was a very good match. The first period ended with the score 0-0. The second period Geske chose down and Monnington held him down the entire period. Going into the third score remained 0-0. Monnington chose down then within the first 5 seconds of the period scored an escape to make the score 1-0 in favor of monnington. with about 45 seconds remaining in the match Geske had a good double leg had Monnington up over his head but Monnington figure four leg locked Geske's head. The ref then awarded Geske a pental point to make the score deadlocked at 1-1. The final 30 seconds of the period were very interesting both wrestlers looked exausted and both showed a termendous amount of heart neither wrestler wanted it to go to overtime you could tell that because neither wrestler backed off both traded shots and neither could take the other one down. The final 5 seconds the two wrestlers were locked up and Geske tried to throw what looked to be a lateral drop which Monnington countered and Geske fell to his back with Monnington on top of him to score the take down with a second or less to make the final score 3-1 Monnington. The call was then reviewed by Brady of Manhattan I believe and Phil a ref from Clay Center. The two wrestlers then meet and Brady raised Monnington's hand for the Championship Victor. It was a hard fought match being really the first matches for both wrestlers since christmas break ended and it was Luke Geske's 3rd of the season. The match could have gone either way. But from the info on here Colby Monnington is not ranked in the state at 125lbs 3 2 1A. Luke Geske is the number ranked kid in 4A state at 125lbs. This victory should give Monnington a little bit of respect. I seem to read a lot about the western kansas kids and how the are so tough i know for fact Monnington will meet up with Matt Warta from Ellsworth i believe at the Hoisington Inv. It should be a good match. I do remember two years ago at state Monnington wrestled Matt Gilland of Hoxie. As I recall Gilland won the match by pin but went into the second losing 5-2. Monnington had the returning state champ on his back in the first 15 seconds of the match. Just remeber there are some kids out west at the norton regional 5 of the top 15 wrestlers that Coach Lamar, yet these people are critizing the other regionals why Easton regional has 4 of the top 10 from his picks also and the south regions are weaker but still have 2 or three in them also. Its to bad one of those 5 top ranked kids wrestle there one of them isnt going to get to go to state but all those kids are young so they will have another chance its just to bad but teams hearts get broken in every sport every year a top ranked team has to go against another ranked team in substate and they dont make it to state either thats just apart of the sports world . SO just take it and you'll have to make yourself better. Good luck to all wrestlers north east south and west
Rather be Lucky then good
