Who is everyone's least favorite team to wrestle? This can be for any reason: conditioning, sportsmanship, or just ugly cheerleaders.

I hear the Manhattan guys do things like trip people when they are warming up, make super-hilarous jokes, and then whoop up on teams.....jerks....
So this kid is putting on his shoes right, and his mom says, honey you're putting your shoes on the wrong feet, and the little kid says, no mom these are my feet

I too heard that, Jhris. I think what's worse about those Manhattan braggarts is that they do things like follow around teams who run together, tell lots of funny jokes, and they have a #1 puff puff give circle.
And I never wrestled anyone from Garden City, but it seems like they're always REAL strong, so that would have to suck. That's all I can think of right now.

I think the worst schools to wrestle are the ones that have insane coaches. The coaches that insist on yelling incessantly at their wrestlers before, during, and after their match. One, you can't hear your coach and two you have to listen to theirs. It's just aggrevating.

Manhattan has more than just that....we consider many things sacred. Taco Bell for instance. I know personally that I used to eat a Grande Meal at each weigh-in, right in front of my buddies who cut weight. A Grande Meal consists of your choice of 10 tacos, hard or soft. I personally did not cut weight so that is how this was possible. My "cutting weight" consisted of weighing 205 lbs the first day of practice and weighing 218 lbs during the last weigh-in at state.

Ahh, yes, I remember many times, being angry with Jhris for his weight gaining habits last year. Of course, I was less angry with him after he made weight and he shared his Mountain Dew/delicious array of cookies at Newton. That was a good night.
Jhris was also known to bring cheese, tortillas and bacon to meets...sadly, he was always too lazy to make them.

I too was all about being fat. I cut down about ten pounds of water each day before the meet and then promptly gained it back with a dizzying array of post weigh-in foods. I'm still all about the Twizzler Nibs, not to mention about a half dozen twist donuts. It got to the point where I even got threatened to have to do 150 sprawls for every donut I ate. This is probably the reason I gained all of the fourty pounds back over the summer.

Impressive indeed, Mr. LancerM. Impressive indeed.
But could you gain the 40 pounds back in 10 days? Mwahahahahahaha.
("You guys are all that's wrong with this sport, blahblahblah." I know. But it was tasty. And plus, I'm a fat, fat guy. If I skip lunch I lose 10 pounds. If I go to Pizza Hut I gain 15. It's easier for us. So don't worry.)

Preach it brotha', preach it! I was up 16 pounds the day after state and went up about five pounds a week until I finally plateaued at a lean and mean 230. Every week I'd have to go into East Kansas practice and tell Monks how much weight I gained, until alas, I was too fat to wrestle even him. They relegated me to the fat kid group, but don't worry, they consoled me with some Ho-Ho's and, as everyone knows, Ho-Ho's are the fastest way to a fat kid's heart.

Oh yes. Sancho night was absolutely delightful. One of the most bulbous bellies I've ever possessed was on that fateful evening. *sigh*

I can always gauge a good post weigh-in meal on whether or not I hit "Turtle Mode." You know, when you've eaten so much you just lie down on your back and you can't get up. Word to the wise though, try to not hit Turtle Mode the morning of a tournament after breakfast. I've had to learn that lesson a couple of times.

Garden City has to be the worst team to wrestle. They are nothing but studs. They have like 80 kids on their team so they have depth. Our wrestling teams have a total of 22 with only 5 returning people and that a 5a school.

I would have to say that Hoxie is the worst team to wrestle, mainly because they beat the crap out of everyone. So if you want a chance to win, dont wrestle where Hoxie is at.
