I was just wondering how come the preseason rankings are missing some of the ranks? 103 & 112 both have only 2 of the 6 rankings. Once again : i am just wondering.

They aren't actually done yet. They will all be done by 12/1/02

4A & 3A are pretty much set, and 5A & 6A will have theirs done soon.

The first month there will be some moving around until they know for sure what weights kids are going.

If they did not place at state last year or come real close it is difficult to sort through them. The rankers have to go on the information recieved from the coaches. Most of the experienced coaches are not going to recommend their kids to be ranked until they show it on the mat. Some of the coaches may think they have a kid that is going to do really well, but prefer to see it on the mat first. Or better yet prefer others to come to the conclusion they are worthy. Yes, there are always a few wanting ranked as soon as possible and often they don't live up to the billing
