What does everyone think about Kyle Flory from Baldwin dominating Lattimer from Fort Scott in the finals 18-3?

I think Flory looked to be in excellent form as he dominated Latimer. I bet Latimer was just happy he made the finals considering Travis Conley from Spring Hill actually beat him in the semifinals. In the Conley vrs. Lattimer match, The score was tied 7-7 in the third period. Lattimer gave Conley an escape. (score Conley 8-7) Conley then put lattimer to his back in a move similar to the Russian Leg sweep. The ref gave Conley two points and counted off three backpoints. Then Lattimer reversed Conley for two points. (Score Conley 13-9)
This is where the bad officiating comes in. The ref changes his mind, doesn't give Conley his takedown and backpoints. Instead he gives Lattimer 2 points takedown and Conley no points. (score Lattimer 9-8).
Lattimer ended up winning the match by two points. It was bad officiating. I dont want to mention the refs name, but he does have the same name of a guy off of Nash Bridges. That one particular ref made some of the poorest calls i have ever seen at regional wrestling.
The Burlington regional was one to remember. The hometown had everything planned to a 'T'. The finals display was excellent. My only complaint was the poor officiating by one ref. He consitantly would give calls to some kids, and then not give them to different kids who would perform the same move.
Its too bad Conley didn't win considering how he gave Flory a much tougher match when they met earlier in the year.

Good point. But I thought Lattimer was supposed to be one of the top 2 wrestlers in the State in 4a. And Connely did give Flory a good match earlier in the year too. That would have been an excellent finals match.
I want to congradulate Burlington on running a great on-line program. Everything was posted just a couple of minutes after the weight class had wrestled. That makes it easy for guys like me that are out in western Kansas and couldn't make the meet. I hope they do something like this for state.

It is tough being offical and every ref will sometimes make a bad call and I think for the most part we have some good refs but I have been to many tournaments and duels that this ref that you are talking about has been at and this was not just a bad tourney for him, I have seen him make terrible calls again and again and he cant control his mat , I have seen several fights almost happen on his mat and then finally it happen yesterday he was the ref on the mat when I fight broke out, there was a potentnally dangerous move that he did not stop and then time ran out and the kid that one threw a elbow at the kid then came after him so the other kid obliged and came right after him, the coaches came diving in to break this up and several people ran out on the mat to help break it up, so most people thought both wrestlers should be tossed out of the tourney and this terrible ref did, then he changed his mind and let the kid that started the fight (the kid that won) stay in the tournament. I never bash officals and I probably shouldnt be writing this but I am tired of this offical.

The only way to get qualified ref's and to eliminate poor ref's is to notify the state of their work on the mat. This can be done and should be done by video/letter, especially if it continues to occur.

i also thought the officiating was terrible by that ref, not necessarily in any of my matches, but in ones that i watched, it didn't help matters that this was a tough regional and most matches were so tough it came down to the last few seconds
