I think this may be the year that that somebody finally ends the mighty Emporia's streak of like 6849389439854 consecutive league championships. Shawnee Heights has already beaten them in a dual this year, and Manhattan is always tough. Here's a listing of ranked guys in their respective weight classes:

103
Singleton, Shawnee Heights, 2nd

112
Perez, Topeka High, 1st

119
Wasson, Seaman, 2nd
Miller, Manhattan, 3rd
Hogan, Washburn Rural, 5th
Ast, Emporia, 6th

125
Woodford, Manhattan, 1st

130
Mancuso, Junction City, 1st
Ast, Emporia, 3rd

135
Waechter, Shawnee Heights, 4th
Bingham, Manhattan, 4th
Malone, Seaman, 6th

140
Nelson, Emporia, 5th
Hoshaw, Manhattan, 6th

145
Rickabaugh, Shawnee Heights, 4th
Miller, Manhattan, 4th

152
Wilcox, Junction City, 2nd
Shea, Manhattan, 3rd
Miller, Seaman, 5th

160
Lacer, Junction City, 2nd
Dikin, Emporia, 3rd
Cole, Shawnee Heights, 4th
Rahmeier, Seaman, 5th
Warner, Manhattan, 6th

171
Malloy, Shawnee Heights, 1st
Krahn, Seaman, 6th

189
Gonzalez, Shawnee Heights, 1st
Larson, Manhattan, 2nd

215
Sparks, Emporia, 3rd
Eichman, Manhattan, 4th
Hoeme, Shawnee Heights, 5th

275
Hoffman, Shawnee Heights, 2nd
Carter, Junction City, 5th

*notables not included*

Marcus Herrera, Emporia... an undefeated state champion last year; I don't know what weight he is at.

Ingenthron, Hayden... at 160 I believe, not ranked in 4a but might be the best one of the bunch.

I think Emporia has a pretty good 189 pounder as well.

Thoughts?

Prant:

I'll bet you a bag of your favorite potato chips that Scrawnee Whites takes The Hat down.

Deal?

DoldenGomer-

You're on, buddy. And just so you know, I prefer my Cheetos crunchy. (Don't bother telling me your favorite chip. I don't think it will be necessary.)
