In response to Prants comment that JC an Manhattan were not wanted by the Centenial league:
The Centenial League will add Manhattan and JC,along with Topeka High and Topeka West, in a couple of years, and the majority of the teams were fine with this. However, 4a Hayden stands to be left out in this case, because they honestly cannot compete with bigger schools in many sports (wrestling being one of them). The new makeup of the Centenial League will most likely be divided into an upper and lower division, with the 5 6a schools in one divison (T-High, Man., JC, Emp, W-Rural) and the 5 smaller schools in the other (T-West, S. Heights, Seamen, High Park, Hayden). The addition of the 4 new teams will make the league more competitive in most sports, but the 6a schools will have a clear advantage in some.

As of right now, only T-West and T-High have been added to the Centennial. The Junk and Hat Town have been left out, and have to be placed in a league. Manhappenin' has a meeting with the KSHSAA on Feb. 26th to place them in a league, and while it most likely will be the Centennial, it's not for sure yet.
And I'd just like to say, on behalf of the Hat, thanks to Highland Park for sticking up for us. Word on the streets is that you guys have had our back the whole time, while Hayden keeps trying to give us the old Grimmwrestler treatment, if you catch my drift.
