I am not surprised that when U have Norton people counting the votes that a Norton wrestler would win the outstanding wrestler award.?? Although James IS a good wrestler. Congrats to James and His family. THEY R GOOD PEOPLE My vote would have gone to Tracy Jordan who pinned first 2 and won a very tough match against a home town favortie while being booed by home town crown. How has Norton ever won a sportsmanship award. It could have NOT been in wrestling !!!!!!!!!

triggers (jordon's dad?)dad,
it was not jordon being boo'ed but the call by the official that denied the norton wrestler the reversal at the edge of the match and which would reversed the outcome of the match. the behavior of the crowd was not good inthis situation but have heard no less worse from most other crowds--including beloit's.
i personally know the people who would have counted the votes and your insinuation of some sort of "vote fixing" in favor of annon is not even worthy of response.
good luck down the road.

Egg, First off I would like to let everyone know that the correct spelling of Tracy' last name is JORDAN...Secondly the booing continued while Tracy was on awards stand. THAT is why I made the slanderous remark about the vote counting. I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT WHAT I SAID ABOUT THE VOTE COUNTING WAS NOT RIGHT, SORRY FOR THE REMARK. I said in my post congrates to James and his family. I know that the 2 wrestlers in question will see each other more times this year and THAT is what wrestling is about. COMPETITION...NOT BOOING AND POOR CROUD BEHAVIOR..Sincerely, Tim Jordan Tracys PROUD father

I have been to Tourny's over the years where I thought my son should have been chosen O.W. I was disappointed when he wasn't chosen, but in the name of sportsmanship, I don't make excuses for him. I have instilled into my son, we don't make excuses for the outcome. We all suck it up and try harder the next week. Good luck next week!!!

Hey Trigger, Was that you and your sons or aquaintances on the floor during the championship match of Jordon vs Roe ? Although I know that adrenaline and pride was racing through your viens , there was no excuse for you and your crowd to race to the edge of the match each time you thought there was a bad call, especially your son or friend that wore the stocking cap,his vulgar mouth should of gotten him thrown out of the gym. I was very close to you and the things I heard...
I had thought maybe your son would of won the outstanding wrestler also ,only because the match between him and Roe was by far the best match of the day. But I didn't get to vote, the coach's did and what do you think they seen to vote the way they did ? Maybe that Salina Journal article put to much pressure on your son, or maybe since Annon is a state champion that he was proving why he is one ,you do have to admit he has the prettiest duck under around..... Good Luck to your son and we will see you at the NORTON regional....

no-fluke Yes, that was me(with the black shirt) mat side. As I remember the night, the ONLY time I came mate side was to yell encouragement to my son, not to question calls of officals. I stayed behind the fans most of the match pacing back and forth. And yes that was one of my other sons who has the foul mouth. He does not live at our house, and has not since he was 2 but I had sponken to him already about it before Tracy and I had left last night. Also as I remember it Norton has its own group of fans on the other side of the mate. Thank You for your support and comments though. Tim

Lauer and Maybon were both out with injuries as were Luke Pfannistiel and Clay Madden. Im not sure when Mann beat out Keiswetter but I talk to my cousin Maybon on a regular basis and he fills me in on wrestling so I'm sure he knows.

I am disappointed that the story line on this post has been a controversy over the Outstanding Wrestler award as opposed to the fact that Norton won the tournament with 4 varsity wrestlers out of the line up! * Clay Madden 112 (returning 103 State Champ) * Luke Pfannenstiel (returning placer) * Shaun Lauer * Mark Smith-Maybon.
Those are a lot of points to be missing and still win a tournament. Obviously the JV guys stepped in and helped out in a big way. I would just like to Congratulate Coach Johnson and the whole Norton team on a great win (the first since 96!).
See you next year.

gniltserw naf, Tracys ankle is swollen and very sore. We knew at the beginning of the season it was going to be an on going problem. Would have been much better to have broken it then the sprain during football season. He will start doing rehab at the hospital every morning again. One day at a time again. Thank you for your concern and support. Sincerely Tracys dad Tim

Who is this Kale Mann character it seems to me that there is an imposter in the house… Why now are you coming out of the closet? Could it be that the Kansas City smog he infested your western Kansas lungs? You seem to be trying to gain points with your Norton buddies.
I’m not very smart… but I can lift heavy things!
