If Strait and Weishaar had a rematch, who do you think would win.

Weishaar would win hands down. He was the aggressor in the match, and not only did Strait only score one legitamate point on Weishaar, he had to take a minute and a half timeout before overtime because he was gassing so bad.

John and Zerocool are smart. I can not believe that Weishaar got beat in that match.

Maybe they will meet in the High School Nationals... Oh wait, you have to reach the finals in state to qualify. And Weishaar wasn't the agressor - he only shot once - an underhook waiting for your opponent to lose footing so you can attempt a throw is not being aggressive. Weishaar is good - no doubt - and that should have been for the championship - but not better than Strait.

Weishaar made his bed when he slammed his kid at Regionals the week before.

How can you say that should have been the championship match? Strait barely won the championship by consistantly running Pingleton out of bounds. He was warned for stalling and should have given up points. They are all very good wrestlers and obivously very close in talent....

it doesn't matter how you win, as long as you win. You don't get points for attempting a takedown or for being more aggresive.

I would have to agree with chuck on that one. You do whatever it takes to win the match. Over my high school career I watched many state champions do the exact same thing. I don't want to name any names becuase that wouldn't be right but there was one person that comes to my mind first who was always stalling and taking timeouts in his matches. Back then they didn't have the two timeout rule and injury time was also blood time so you could have as many as you wanted but this kid was a three time champion and he would always have his "powerade" water bottle with his coach and he would stall out an opponent then get a drink from his coaches. If any one knows who this is you win five points hint: he was in the NCKL. But please this is just for fun so don't get upset if you figure it out.

Strait doesn't do anything for sure except stall.
I watched him do it against Weishire and then in the finals against Pingleton.

Jake is a great wrester but what I have observed from the tourney is that he should have lost. A true state champ would not have lost to Scott from smith center who placed fourth in 321a How strong was the weight class when jake won it as a sophmore?

nigel, the only 3 time champs that the nckl has had recently are brandon pfizenmaier and dustin tovar, so it probably has to be one of those two.
