As a Lansing Alumni, I was wondering what people thought about Lansing this year. They look pretty promising with every lettermen returning but one. Marcus Waters (6th at state), Troy Medill (2nd at state), and Vince Demarest (SQ) are returning, bringing with them some promising teammates. I was just wondering...

Lansing has a few real good kids as mentioned. But despite the fact that they have a lot of starters back, most of the others are far behind the ones you mentioned. I also think Lansing would benefit by upgrading a couple of the tournaments they compete in during the year. I believe the kids you mentioned might have placed even higher if they had been in more tight matches during the year.

You're right that their tournaments aren't really tough, but I believe they have some quality wrestlers that are going to turn some heads. I see some of them like Matt Young, Jerry Duxbury, Justin Wissmann, etc. going far this year, and at least going to state. Some of them were one win away from state in 2002. I think with Troy, Marcus, and Vince as the team leaders, the team will strengthen more and more each meet.
