Exceptional instructor. My son has been attending Purler Academy for about 2 months now and there is a definite difference in his wrestling.

Kearney and Lees Summit is where the clinics will be held. I run the academy at Rockhurst, Parkhill (NKC) and Blue Springs. In addition, I have a High School site at Lees Summit on thursdays, which should last through the summer. The academy is an open enrollment year-round program. Being year-round, I go at a very slow pace, getting very detailed with the positioning, technique, and handfighting. My brother Nick operates Purler Wrestling Academy on the eastern side of the state, and currently we have kids from Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, and Iowa who are members. I am in my 2nd year, Nick is in his 5th year. For more info, please go to http://www.tonypurler.com and (Nick) http://www.purlerwrestling.com. thanks

It's a shame these are the same times as the southern plains camp.

USA Wrestling-Kansas financially underwrites three camps each year, plus the Junior/Cadet national team camp. If you are a Kansas wrestler, I would highly recommend any of these camps, as they all provide great coaching at a highly discounted price (due to the financial support they receive from USAW-Kansas). These camps are: June 13-18 Southern Plains - Freestyle/Greco (Chanute) June 20-23 All-American Camp - All Styles (Winfield) July 11-16 Folkstyle Camp (Manhattan) For information on these and other camps in our area, click on the "Camps/Clinics" link, or click here .
