Just checking to see if Bill Johnson is ok as many of us were wondering where he was for the Senior Classic. Hopefully all is well.

Coach Gonzales was wondering the same thing out loud. He hadn't heard from Bill. I guess he just didn't show up.

Yea I asked Coach Gonzales today and he said he still had no clue. It struck me as odd with 2 guys from his school being in the classic.

Was he supposed to be the 2nd coach for the red team or was there one? Does each team usually have two coaches?
Next question: How were the teams picked and by who? I only saw the first 6 matches but most were pretty evenly matched and judging by the final score, the whole thing was. Great job by the selection committee! rh

I was under contract to teach tomorrows leaders until 4:00 pm. and that would make it extremely hard to get to Topeka by match time. I knew that my wrestlers would do fine without me although I really did wish that I could have been there in person. I was never invited to be a coach for either team so I assumed that my presence was not required. So I did not take time off at school. Thanks for missing me.

yeah, too often many forget that guys like Coach Johnson have jobs OTHER than coaching wrestling (or football, basketball, etc.)

We don't forget that he has other another job, we just missed Coach Johnson, he's a good man with a great coaching background and his credentials stand taller than him. Wait....what doesn't stand taller than Coach Johnson. Just kidding, don't punch me in the ankles!
