This is great. The week before state is always the best week for forum posting. Users are coming out of the woodwork--everyone from ksfanincarolina to the world-renowned TonRacha. I have to check the site once every 7 minutes just so I don't get left behind. WHEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
The only time that's better is when I get to come on and gloat after the Hat wins the big burrito...Only 4 more days...the anticipation is killing me...
Congrats, Aquinas! Great job, Hat Town! Salyer Rules!

I have to agree with you dingbat- this is the most exciting time of the year. Even though I have been out for what seems like ever- I look forward to State Weekend. I always try to tell the kids that make it to leave nothing on the mat and that you don't need to be there to get second- I was coached by Decker when I was a pup and he said that you are never in a match to lose. I see so many kids these days looking at how the bracket will play out and I get pushed back into my childhood where I always felt the other guy had to beat me to win. Looking over the couple brackets of kids that are going from here- I see them looking at the back side- I have a few days left to explain that you are at State to win

Exactly. My philosophy has always been, if you aren't sure you're going to win it, why bother showing up?

Those theme songs are 2nd best theme songs.
My theme song list would include:
Top 5 Theme songs
5. Metallica's "No Leaf Clover." This is for all the kiddies that have mohawks/dyed hair as they watch the nonposers on the podium (sp).
4. Styx's "Mr. Roboto." Not a very good song as far as themes are concerned, but it will make Coach Markham from Seaman happy and he will breakdance for the crowd.
3. Star War's Theme Song to Darth Vader's Entrance. Reminds me of light sabres and light sabres are the coolest.
2. U2's "Vertigo." I don't really like the song, but all the wannabe rockers do, so I'll do it to make them happy.
1. REM/B52's "Shiney Happy People." The Manhattan kids can do their Napolean Dynamite dance to it.
Good luck to all and I can't wait to see the finals.
