The KWCA is looking for a rep from each regional tournament to handle a couple of KWCA duties next weekend.

We are asking the rep to handle:

1) a rules proposal meeting, taking recommendations for the KWCA to take to the KSHSAA for 2005-06, and tabulate voting numbers. This can be done at the seeding meeting.

and

2) coordinate the Regional Coach and Wrestler of the Year voting and submit the winners to me at Baldwin HS immediately after your tournament.

I have instructions to forward to you if you agree to serve as our rep.

We have 11 regionals covered, but are still looking for reps from the following regionals:

Beloit, KC-Turner, Salina South, Emporia, and Wichita Northwest.

If you are a coach at one of these regionals and would be willing to handle these duties for us, please contact me.

Thanks,
Kit Harris, Baldwin HS

Coaches,
Thanks for your great response to this post. I now have every regional covered except for one...I need a rep for the Beloit regional. If there is a coach out there who is attending the Beloit 321A regional that would like to handle these KWCA duties, please notify me immediately.

Coaches, here are the reps for each regional so you know who will be taking care of these KWCA issues at your regional:

6A @ Emporia - Bobby Bovaird, Washburn Rural
6A @ Aquinas - Lorne Parks, Aquinas
6A @ SM West - Howard Newcomb, SMNW
6A @ Wichita NW - Ryan Jilka, Goddard

5A @ Turner - Peter Sierant, Turner
5A @ Paola - Travis Keal, Mill Valley
5A @ Salina South - Bob Threlkel, Hays
5A @ Campus - Brian Shelton, Valley Center

4A @ Colby - Mitch Beims, Colby
4A @ Concordia - Regan Erickson, SFT
4A @ Ft. Scott - Kit Harris, Baldwin
4A @ Rose Hill - Todd Napier, Columbus

321A @ Beloit - ????????
321A @ Fredonia - Doug Vander Linden, Burlington
321A @ Onaga - Harry LaMar, Silver Lake
321A @ WaKenney - Bill Johnson, Norton

Thanks to ALL coaches for supporting the efforts of the KWCA to advance the sport of wrestling through these endeavors. Also, special thanks to these coaches to volunteering to handle these tasks for us!

Please let me know if anybody out there can be the Beloit regional rep for us!!

Thanks and good luck to all this weekend!

Regards,
Kit Harris, Baldwin HS

Jason Halling from Lyons HS will cover the Beloit regional. All regionals are now covered. Coaches, be thinking of rules proposals to discuss. And be sure to submit your votes for Regional Coach and Wrestler of the Year to your regional rep before the conclusion of the tournament..

Good luck to all.

Kit Harris

Hey Kit,

Can we bracket up the coaches you have per regional and make them wrestle? Maybe round robin with your onw classification then winners go to a pool, runners up to another and so on. I think the 3/4a coaches would put a whooping on the 5/6a coaches (for the most part) LOL

Good idea, but no, I do not want to be in a pool with Beims, Erickson, and/or Napier. If we are going to really do this, then I am going to step down as the Ft. Scott rep and let Scott Neil from Basehor-Linwood represent us. Then, things could get exciting!

Who will win the 321A pool....LaMar, Johnson, or Vander Linden?

Johnson...is there going to be a break after each take down..say like for 5 minutes for them to all catch their breath and not go into cardiac arrest? Better make sure there is a defibrilator matside.

I was going to say coach Johnson has the advantage of being short. He doesn't even need to duck to hit a duck under and a low level single is a high crotch almost for him.

Come on, now Harris, you'd do all right against those boys. Just get on top and put on one of your cheap tilt clinics!

I can see it now with 4a firing back that there is nothing cheap about Kit's tilts.

Maybe we can get some of these coaching matchups for the Tyler Graebner clinic?

How about that 5A pool....Keal may have been a contender, but he up and got an administrative degree, we all know that makes him an instant pansy!

That leaves Shelton, Threlkel, and Sierant.

Shelton is tough, but is also a midget...not sure he can hang with full grown men.

I give the nod to Sierant....I bet he is one bad motorcyle!

Threlkel? are you serious....that shouldn't count he is a former Cadet/Monarch of TMP...he should be forced to compete with the 321A guys. I say this only because I've become good friends with Mr. Threkel through my dad which wrestled for/under Threkel while he attended TMP (class of 75). I'm rooting for ya Mr.T, good luck

Alright, so Bovaird, how do you think you'll fare against your 6A folk? What's your strategy?

Sricks and stones may break my litle midget bones but there isn't a Harris alive that can whip me.

By the way the wrestling room is closed the night before state. Find somewhere else to go.

Coach Shelton--You can't close the room. Kit has a match that night against a guy from Paola.
