I believe doug hoover is a 3 timer, then there is nick ashpole, fox from mulvane, middleton from bonner springs, van trace from paola, hulse from ?, cromwell from shawnee heights, anstine from ark city, yeah i would say a few of those guys are pretty good, if this is really breese sayin that 135 is tougher because of you, y would you say that, y wouldnt you just take state and then everyone will know how good and how cool you are, not to say you arnt a great wrestler but that was pretty cocky of ya if it was you please respond Chris Curl

Yes this is Kyle Breese, and no i did not mean any means of cockyness at all. The point i was trying to get across is that i really do think 135 is tough and i think 125 is tough aswell. And i reall think that 130 is going to be tough. I dont really think that there is a toughest braket in state, because if you make it to state then that probably means that you dont suck and they will be good matches. So no i didnt mean any cockyness in my response. I think that there are a lot of good wrestlers and I think state is going to be tough in all the brakets. Sorry if you took any sign of cockyness in my response.

There are no easy brackets at state, and yes 130lbs. is a tough one! If you think lien and Zousas are the only tough ones you are plum nuts!! Don't forget about Strohm(who wrestled Lien to a 3-1 loss) and Hermreck. All four placed in the top 4 last year not to mention several good wrestlers that aren't ranked. 125 has Hoover,Ashpole, and two freshmen that are ranked. 135lbs. only has two guys that placed last year in the current rankings, one of those two only placed 6th. Now you tell me what makes 125lbs. or 135lbs. tougher than 130lbs.

I really dont care whose braket is harder. It is who comes out on top is what matters. Yes I see what you are saying but, there are many good wrestlers in all three brakets. And at 135 there is Matt Chastain, yes i think he placed 6th last year but he is only a junior, that says something. And there is Riley from Salina South.

And here I was thinking that 189 was the toughest weight in 5A. Not to take anything away from any of the wrestlers at 112, 125, 130 or 135, but from top to bottom I think that 189 will be the toughest weight to place in at State. All of the other weights have a couple, maybe three, standouts, but then 4th through 6th place seem to be pretty much up for grabs. Just an opinion, nothing to take offense to.

As a father of a 5a wrestler, I don't think you can even say what weight class will be the toughest. Everybody first must worry about Regionals as what the old saying goes, "Anybody can beat anybody on any given day". And for those of you who are already talking and looking at state might want to take notice to this saying as some of the wrestlers who are not even being mentioned could sneak up on you and beat you out of going to state.

First id like to say sorry to kyle breese, i must have just took it the wrong way, and yes i know there prolly isnt one toughest weight class, but if there is i dont think that it is 130, but im sure that my weight class isnt much tougher than 130 either, but I was just sayin that i think 125 is a pretty tough bracket. I dont know about 189 so i wont even talk about it, im sure there are a lot of great wrestlers there. I dont want to make anyone mad im just responding to the question. In response to topmiller, yeah you are right anyone can lose at any time im not looking at state over regionals, i just like to see what everyone thinks.
