I know it is WAY to early but lets just get some predictions going and see who is closest in a few months. When the state tournament is all over I say Norton wins it, Oakley, Oberlin and St. Francis in some order for 2-4 and Smith Center 5. As I said it is a long way from Feb. but lets see your thoughts.

I'm saying Norton wins it, St. Francis makes a good showing possibly getting a 2nd and Silver Lake ends up top 7.

Norton should win it...Oakley second...St. Francis or Silver Lake. I think Silver Lake gets over rated...Last year big time...They didnt do nothing at State

Once again teams from the west and especially NW will dominate. Must agree with x-factor about Silver Lake. Overrated every year but especially last year. Interesting that nobody has mentioned Hoxie yet.

how dare the ranking coordinator rank his own team so high when they can only take home 4th place in 321A.

On a more more (is that okay?) positive note I'm glad to see you actually do the rankings, it's nice to see someone take on the responsibility and do them well.

Did not mean for this to turn into a slam fest. During the year last year Silver Lake was overrated. How are things going to shake out this year (team wise). Can anyone compete with those teams out west? What order will they finish?

Last year SL was overhyped i dont know if i would say overrated. But Lamar choked? I think he lost in the semi finals due to an error in the offciating if my memory serves me correctly. I think those refs wanted that western kansas kid in the finals, but that is usually the story of the tourny at Hays.

Silver Lake has a good team year in and year out. They finsihed 4th last year and that is nothing to roll your eyes about. Alot of other schools would love to be there for sure.

I think the West will once again do very well with Norton- St Franny and others but Silver Lake will still get alot of kids there and once they are there anything can happen.

Some good points being made. S.L. will take a lot of kids to state but that is mainly because they go to a weak rwegional. If they had to go to the NW regional their numbers would drop dramatically. That is no fault of theirs however. No doubt coach Lamar has built a good program. His is one of the few programs that can compete with those kids out west. As far as the refs wanting western kids to win that is a joke. Can you call a complete and total domination of the state placings for the past 70 odd years the refs doing?

I'll bet those Refs crashed the Newton Tournament last year and helped Norton win it, because they wanted western kansas kids win. How does that sound JAZ??

My friends the west does dominate im not disputing that. 80% of the best wrestlers in 321A are from the western part of the state and you could probly even narrow that down to 10 towns. But if you see no bias in officiating you are blind. I have been watching the Tourny in Hays the past 8 years and i have deffinatly seen it.
