Good job , Blue Jays! Nine qualifiers, nine medlists for the second year in a row AND a 3-peat. This team has had a great work ethic and hard noses. It been led by a very talented group of seniors, who among the five who wrestled in Hays this weekend own a total of 14 state medals, of which seven are firsts.
But even beyond their success on the mat is the fact that this team is a group that have represented our school and community across the state with discipline, humility, class, and dignity. This is due to some great parenting and great coaches.
A special mention must be made of Clay Madden on winning his fourth state title. He is a very focused and very humble, young man.
Norton will return four state medalists for '07: #1 Nathan Broeckelman, #2 Zac Bainter, #3 Kent Mann and #3 Blake Van Eaton. Also, waiting in the wings is a group of talented young wrestlers who will now get their opportunity to "step up" .

agreed. Norton should be proud of their Bluejays. Will they still be 321 next season? Special Congratulations to Clay Madden, 4timer that seems not to get a lot of respect. 4 times is 4 times and against competition like Richards from Sainty, there are no gifts. Great job, and great luck to the seniors, which will likely all have a chance to establish themselves in the senior classic.
