Why don't we all vote to see what everyone feels on the match.
Chris Sutton-Kearns (Concordia); (53%, 47 Votes)
|
Jesse Strawn (Holton); (47%, 41 Votes)
|
Yes (67%, 59 Votes)
|
No, I'm just trying to screw the poll up (33%, 29 Votes)

I personally have witnessed the two wrestle at both regionals and state now and WOW! WOW! WOW! This poll won't change the fact that both men put their hearts into the match for an intense battle. A hand was raised in the end, but there is just part of me that wishes the both men could have stood a top the podium.
Strawn is a good old country boy that's clean behind the ears with a good family background and a bright future ahead of himself at Division 1 Old Dominion University.
Sutton-Kearn meanwhile is a young man battling for respect after a cloud of controversy off the mat in his past and being labled a "problem child". But if you noticed he didn't throw a fit, cry, or curse like many others would have, instead he walked to the center, sunk his head a bit in defeat, and then him and Strawn embraced.
The emotion of the crowd was sucked into what easily was the best match from a fan's standpoint in the finals (with no disrespect intended for the other finalists). But,it sickens me that when Strawn went to recieve his State Championships he was Booed! Shame on Kansas 4a wrestling for booing a guy that didn't do anything dirty or cheap in a match, but whom the official deemed to be the more aggressive whether we like it or not.
In closing I'd like to say hats off to both Stawn and Sutton-Kearn for a great match and for being great sports in the two epic matchups they had against each other. These two embraced prior to the finals when introduced with the other finalists in both weeks, and embraced afterwards as well. It's a fact of life that someone has to win, and someone has to feel the "agony of defeat" however Jesse Strawn and Chris Sutton-Kearn are both bound for a ton of more success on the next level.
Congrats to both fine young men, and best of luck in your future endeavors.

I'm not sure who should have won the match, but it would have been nice if a terrible official would not have ruined perhaps the best match I've ever seen. That official should never be allowed to officiate another wrestling match in Kansas. EVER.

You have your opinion and Jesse has the State Championship. It's over it can't be changed move on. If you act with half the dignity Chris did you wouldn't be on here bad mouthing the official but rather accepting the defeat graciously, not happy with it but accepting of it.

You might be theman, but if you were a man you'd come out and say who you truly were. Seth Farly, Alex Ryan, Curtis Chenoweth, Mike Furches, and even Richard Salyer at least have the courage to come out with their names shown. Why don't you?

Yea my nickname is on the post and my name is on the side, but didn't mention myself, heck we have a lot of others too such as Randy Hinderliter and many coaches that post on here like Mike Church and Mitch Beims that post frequently without hiding behind a made up name.

I got a question, how do you make that thing where it shows your name at the bottom every time like alex ryan or the swayz. i always mean to put my name but then by the time i get done typing i always think what i have added is so valuable it needs to be posted right away and forget, is there some wehre i can go to put that in or do you have to do that every time your self?

It's called your signature. If you go into your own profile, you'll see a place where you can type your signature and it'll show after each post. It's quite something to be able to put your name on a post you make. Believe it or not, people will be 100 times more willing to hold an educated "conversation" with you if you're willing to ID yourself. MOST people that hide behind a code name are worthless and a waste of time...
