Does anyone know when these will be posted?

I hope they come out today in the paper. I know they have made the selections already.

I sure wish someone would start talking about an AVCTL league tournament. From it's inception it would be the toughest tournament in Kansas.

Yea we haven't had a league tournament since my sophomore year...I had Schroeder in the finals at 125lbs...man he has grown...That was a fun tournament...but its also nice to have that weekend off before regionals...

This is obviously my own opinion on the AVCCTL Tourney, but I don't think you could have a tournament of that nature/talent the week before Regionals.

-If not that weekend then, what weekend? Many schools have their own tournaments and don't want to give that weekend up to lose their tourney if if the league would choose that weekend.

- Would you have a whole league tourney or would you divide it in to a division 1 and 2 tourney and a seperate 3 and 4 tourney. Also if it would be all four divisions, there would only be a few schools that host it (Goodard, Derby, Buhler, Andover Central etc.), because of the huge mass of people that would show up.

- I personally would like to see a league tourney (all four divisions) I think it would be a great tourney with many talented coaches and wrestlers, but we all ready dual those teams and our selections are based upon our dual results. Which brings up another questions, would league selections be based on duals or tourney.

- Hopefully someone with more knowledge and experience in AVCTL will have an opinion.

From the coaches I've talked to it seems to be a concensus that the week before regionals does not work. I have heard that one school would have to give up their own tournament in order for it to be moved to a more desirable date.
My desire would be to have all AVCTL schools that have programs participate. If that were the case, the only facility large enough to comfortably host this tournament would be Goddard. As a fan, my vote would be to allow Goddard to host the league tournament as a concession for giving up their own. I know there are other problems such as Rose Hill being the same date, but I sure would like to see some discussion.

As for the AVCTL tournament, I would not want to see it the weekend before regionals. If it's done, I'd like to see all teams involved. I don't think it is too big of a deal though. We all seem to see each other quite a bit. Just off of the top of my head, we see 14 AVCTL teams at tournaments in our schedule. We only see Maize at four regular season tournaments. Then throw in regionals, state, and next year's dual to make seven. I think Oeser is stalking me!!!!!!

Does any one know the DIV 1 selections?

Are they ever going to put theses on here or at least in the paper?

They were in local papers last night. I wouldn't expect to see them in the Eagle till next week at the soonest.

Here are the Division I winners. Coach Phillips did send them in to the Eagle on the morning following the selections, but there has been some confusion as to when they should be posted because of basketball not being finished.
