I am not sure how it has anything to do with our Jan. 13 certification date. But I think you are correct that it probably does mean that you just have to be a member of the squad and not necessarily participate in the meets for the majority of the varsity meets.

What if a wrestler misses the majority of the meets due to injury? Is the wrestler still considered a member of the squad during injury time off? I would think probably that they would still be eligible.

What if the wrestler is on probation due to grades or discipline reasons? Does probation time count towards meeting this half of the season requirement? My guess would be no on probation time but I do not know for sure.
