Great job Paulie, you've had a great season and left no doubt who the best in the state at 119. Everyone is proud of you. Hansen wins third straight
Paulie Hansen’s biggest fans were lined up after he won his third straight 5A championship on Saturday.
Hansen, a 119-pound Turner senior, first got a hug from his little sister Jenna.
After they finished, it was Hansen’s turn to be picked up, as his cousin, Mike Steinmetz, his friend M.J. Bland and his dad all embraced him.
The win completed a perfect 37-0 season for Hansen, who has only lost one match the last three years.
“I couldn’t have dreamt this season going any better,” Hansen said. “This one is better than the other two because it’s my last year.”

Hazewinkel leaves a big gap for OU at 125 next year. I'm sure Spates would love to have you Paulie!

I truly hope to see this young man at the next level...
Congratulations, Paulie! What an outstanding career, culminated by your 3rd State Championship!! You have made your parents, coaches, teammates and friends of Steveville very proud, and a great representative of Kansas wrestling. You remain the "baddest dog in the pound"...Job well done!

You have to love the picture of Paulie and Mike in the KC Star ..... the two most accomplished high school wrestlers in Turner history ..... 4 titles, 3 runner-ups and a 3rd place between the two of them ...... all in the family ....... Psycho and the Hamburglar ..... couldn't have scripted it better ...... as for college, I predict that Paulie will go wherever the training table includes big, greasy hamburgers served three times a day
