Just got in from OKC. It was a tough day, but still some major efforts from Kansas. The Oklahoma dual was really close and could have went either way. Isenberg had Chris Hacker on the ropes in what might have been the most exciting first two periods that I saw this weekend. Scott Elliott had two points against McNeil that was waved off at the end of period two. That would have set us up for a win with Romero and Disney left. Romero got a fall called by the mat judge only to be waved off by the side official. It got pretty emotional. Tyler Koehn had a hard fought win against OK's Joey Sheridan and had a great tournament beating Ray Hall of Missouri and losing a close one to Travis Rutt of Minnesota.

Again, the heart shown by Kansas was something to see while overcoming forfeits at 171 and scrambling to fill a vacant 215 after Joe Bach mysteriously missed making weight on Friday. OCU was more fan friendly this year with more seating and the college coaches had a good look at the nations top wrestlers. Cael Sanderson and Guererro from OSU were scoping the talent as well as others.

Thank you to the Kansas kids and their parents for paying the price to finish top 8 in the nation! Next year's team will return almost the entire roster.

I already can't wait till next year!
