Ryne Cokeley lost the first period in his next bout but won the second! In the third, Ryne took the lead with a duck under. Ryne gave up a reversal trying a lift. Ryne was rock solid on his defense to pick up the win!

The day ended with Kansas gaining four placers the medal rounds!

Daniel DeShazer will be an All-American as will Jordan Brown. Each have one loss and tomorrow will determine exactly what position they will be vying for.

The Cadets also have two undefeated wrestlers. Both Kyle Caylor and Kyle Detmer have spotless records! Hopefully they will stay that way!!

Romero had made the decision several months ago that he wanted to attend his high school's football camp this year. Since the dates conflict, he has been unable to attend the football camp in the past.

Absolutely! All our All-Americans wrestled very well today. Here's hoping that they wake up the same way tomorrow!!

DeShazer had the guy he lost to beaten. In both of the periods he lost, he was ahead.

Jordan Brown was lifting an opponent and about to deposit him on his head. The opponent commited a leg foul that the lone ref did not see. Jordan landed flat on his own back and the ref called the fall.

But the Fargo experience is full of would ofs and could ofs ... it always has been and probably always will be!

... and it has been posted, Kyle Detmer faces Jordan Brown in their first match in the morning. I guess one way to look at it, is that we are guaranteed one finalist!

Danny DeShazer is wondering if anyone is traveling to Fargo for the finals. If so, he would like to ride. He will help pay for the gas. His cell number is (316) 807-7443. His son is guaranteed a Cadet Greco-Roman top-6 finish, and still has a shot at 1st place. We'd like to get him up here to watch his son become an All-American!

Good Morning!

Yes, all of the young men competing for the Cadets, have a got a shot at being a National Champion! It will be tough and some things have to fall just right but it can happen.

In fact some of our past National Champs had endured one loss along the way!

Today's session will be busy! Along with our 4 Cadets still competing we add 26 Juniors of so!!

The new system of "calling" wrestlers to the mat was a little tough to get use to for a lot of the aged veterans but I think it is working well.

One of the changes that the jury is still out on, is the 1 man mechanics that are being used to officiate the matches. Gone are the lengthy and sometimes frequent table discussions. But one has to consider if two more sets of eyes would pick up more of the action ... like leg fouls.

Now, let me say again, the human element is a factor that we cannot eliminate. Even with 3 sets of eyes certain infractions or scores are seen differently. Overall my opinion is, that the officiating is still outstanding!

I think the current team score is generated by the total number of pins by each state. A pin is worth 1 point. That is my guess -maybe Randy could clarify trackwrestling's team scores.
