Vesta trails Navejas early, 0-1. Navejas scores 2 more and wins the period over Vesta, 0-3.
The 2nd Vesta takes the early shot and gains two more on a gut. Jeff counters the leg shot, throws in a front quarter, rips Navejas to his back and scores the fall!!!!
Jeff Vesta is an All-American from Manhattan, Kansas!!!
Congrats to Jeff!!!!

Sharky Slyter v. Ryak Finch from Arizona. Ryak had a win over Daniel DeShazer in Greco.
Sharky is the blue camo and Finch in the red. Finch scores first with the takedown. Sharky evens the score with a takedown and gains a hand to hand turn. Sharky then works the trapped arm gut for 2. Finch on the board again with 1. Sharky counters the throw attempt and catches Finch on his back. The period ends, 7-2.
The next frame ... Sharky on the board first and gains a gut for a 3-0 lead. Sharky dances away and then gets a Russian and holds on the win.
Sharky Slyter is your All-American!! Slyter places 5th!!
Paola, Kansas and all of Kansas is proud to call Sharky a Kansan!

At 152-pounds, I'll be a tad busy but I'll try!
Detmer for 3rd. Detmer gains the takedown. The opponent ties it. Kyle with another single. Kyle wins the 1st period. The opponent, scores 3. Kyle scores 1. The opponent with the period, 1-7. Kyle with the takedown and a 1 point gut. 1 for the other guy. 2 more for Kyle. He gives up the late takedown but it doesn't matter. Kyle wins!
Kyle Detmer is an All-American!! The young man from Wichita places 3rd.
Brown for 5th. Jordan gives up 2. Gains the pushout. Jordan loses the 1st. The opponent takes a 2 point lead. The score ends up, 2-4. Jordan loses.
Jordan Brown of Pittsburg, Kansas is an All-American after placing 6th.
Meys beat Keiffer.

Kyle "Big Train" Caylor is up next. He faces Chris Weber of Wisconsin. Caylor eliminated Weber in the Greco phase with a 7-0, 5-3 decision win.
Caylor scores a 1-point takedown. Weber is in on the single but Caylor counters with the whizzer. Caylor puts Weber on his back and sticks him.
... be back in a minute!!

Wow ... that must be quite a feeling for Kyle Caylor. He follows Romero Cotton who was a double champion last year. But it must be quite a feeling for Dad too ... and of course Mom, back in Kansas!!
Kyle "Big Train" Caylor is a National Champion from Wichita, Kansas.
