I posted the following in the "Breaking News" section of this site, but thought it would be appropriate to also copy it here:
For those of you who have expressed concern over the national schedule (particularly the Schoolboy Duals and Folkstyle Nationals), I have some good news and some that I would consider "cautiously optimistic." The Schoolboy Duals has been moved back one week; although this will adversely affect the Western Regional, it was agreed that the Southern Plains region carries more of an impact on the Duals than does the Western region.
The fate of the Folkstyle Nationals is not as clear. USA Wrestling has agreed to try and move the tournament back to the first weekend in April; however, it is not yet certain if the date change can be accommodated by UNI. As I hear more on this subject, I will pass it along to the membership.
Although I share with many of you in the frustration over these conflicts, I would also be remiss in not acknowledging the difficult task that the USA Wrestling events staff face in trying to find a schedule that satisfies as many people as possible, particularly in an Olympic year when additional events must be factored into the equation.
