What do the results of it say about this years crop of Kansas boys? Should there be more teams from Kansas? Would any of the Johnson county teams give up the joco classic to wrestle in it?
Just curious.
p.s. Nice job Romero.

What happened to the post regarding Johnson County High Schools attending this tournament? I think the Classic should move its date so that we could attend the best tournament opportunity for all Kansas High Schools.

It was amazing. There was 7 state champs wrestling at 145.
The venue sucks though, not enough seating.

There were 7 state champs at 145 and none of them won it!!! Including the #2 ranked wrestler in the country who gets 5th.
The venue is as good as you are going to get. Where else are you going to get 20 mats down and so much nearby hotel space for out of town teams? It is no different than for cadet duals.
The wrestling was awesome!

I saw they show Mitchell Means of Goddard Wrestle and Win @ 135 he was state champ @ 140 last year and placer @ 140 as a freshman. Did he really wrestle 135? If so is he staying there all year?
