Thanks, Maize, for running one of the best tournaments of the year. Only the second one we've been to that started on time (Salina was the other).
Regarding the 8 and under heavyweight division: I watched most of the matches and didn't see any real mismatches. The most dangerous kid (in a good way) was the kid that won (Capul), and he didn't look to be over 110 pounds. The heaviest kid (Bowen) was probably 125-130, but I'm not sure he won any matches. Unruh is usually around 118 and Tracy is probably under 110. That leaves Lieurance. Are you saying he's only 91 pounds? If so, he did a good job against some bigger kids, but he didn't look like he was in danger. Worse was Tulsa Nationals where there was almost a 50 pound differential (155 to 108) between the lightest and heaviest heavyweights. Interestingly, the 108 pound kid won that tournament.
