We have always ran Half mats and most tournaments do. Yes it is a little tight for the bigger boys. It is eather that way or we are there until 10 or 11.
The 8U HWT brackets. We bracket the A & B, C and Some D and Try to keep our D wrestlers together. I remember talking to you. Your son was a 100lb A wrestler that wrestles national tournaments (tulsa). I will not put him in a B or C bracket with C an D Wrestlers. He will Kill them. Is it about just getting a metal or is it about wrestling the best westler you can get to make your son better?

I am not the one that made the comment!! While my son did not wrestle well and we were not particulary pleased with the size difference, I was
NOT the one on here complaining.
We are not trophy hunters. We did not make a 3.5 hour drive and spend a couple of hundred dollars for a medal. If all we wanted was another medal or trophy we could have stayed local.
My son had some good competition even though 2 of the 3 matches he wreslted, he was giving up a lot of weight. My son didn't complain(although I know the size bothered him). He wrestled some tough kids and gained some valuable experience.
