Beeson, Isn't the "Snake" just the Okies term for what we Kansans call either a cow-catcher or a Bulldog? I've heard all 3 terms used for what looks to be the same move. At Maize, it was the cow-catcher and now at Boo's it is the Bulldog.

Never mind Beeson.....you posted while I was reading the thread and your answer is already on here now. I guess YOU ARE BACK NOW BABY!!!! No more road trips, so we can expect the 20+ posts per day again, huh? Nice post on the High School thread under "Biting." Now we know your secrets to being a 3 timer...the Bulldog / Snake / Cowcatcher and the Biting technique you described. Was that a picture of you a couple of posts later executing your technique???

didnt both of the hernandez brothers bite to. I think justin ware even showed me that technique one time. Must be an ark city thing. lol. Bad thing is my senior year I had 2 teammates wrestling at the same time on different mats and they both got caught biting. One got dq and one got a penalty point and went on to state. Just ask Lowmaster from Circle about the dq. Yes thats how old i am. sorry.

mom2newkid Clcik on "RESULTS" at the lower left of your screen and then click on the tournament that you want to view; Scroll to the age/weight you are checking or if it brings up another screen (Track Wrestling) just click on the weight under the age group you are looking for.

Cow-catcher vs Snake vs Bulldog: Different parts of the state seem to have different terminology for the same or very near the same moves. It is kind of like the difference between a "corkscrew" and the "barbwire", or a "Granby roll/cradle" and a "Peterson". It may not even be the state or part of the state you live in, but who your coach(s) is/are at the time you wrestled.
