I am reminded of the bad apple spoiling the whole bunch as I type this comment. The weekend after Salina in Topeka at the Thunderbirds tourn I had a chance to speak with a couple of folks from "the team". I was very impressed as to what they had to say about how they handled the person internally with their club. They were nice and polite and I enjoyed visiting with them in the hospitality room. Even with the super extended delay at T-Birds these folks were positive and complementary to the efforts of the club. They had a much longer return trip then I did, since I live in Topeka, but not once did I hear a bad word.
Granted that was only two people, but let me go one more. One of our wrestlers elderly grandmother was ascending the bleacher staircase right where "the teams" fans were sitting and at each step a hand came out to assist her. I was touched. "The team" disciplined their own, not saying that makes what happened in Salina ok, but they are not a bad bunch of folks. With time and punishments for acts not deemed acceptable by the wrestling community, I think things will eventually work out. Have faith.
