The 6 & U state championship tournament is FAR from a novice tourney! I don't know which 6&U tournament you experienced but it wasn't the same one my son experienced. Two years in a row he wrestled 7&8 matches in one day in 64-man brackets. I agree with another's post about having qualifiers for the 6&U across the state in a similar format as the older kids. I think that is a more feasible option.
