I think for the most part tournements will let kids slide a little on non-qualifiers. If the kids is grossly over then maybe not. From what I have seen and done if you are .6-1lb you better go run, the kid comes back and is .3 over they let him go the 1lb kid comes in a .5 well you better run a little more so he does comes back at .2-.3 lets him go.

Nobody in open tourneys wants to not allow a kid to wrestle in the example above for twi reasons. 1) you are being consistent with the weight you are allowing 2)They both had to work to get down to the "allowable" level 3) if you are over farther the harder you have to work to make it. Making Mom sad seeing you run prompting Dad to bump you next week. 4) Both kids being out really screws your brackets up...lol


But everybody is right, this time of year there are no gimmies.
