I can't remember who started this thread, but it seems he/she said to not remind him/her that he/she didn't have to open & read anything. Well, that was asking a lot because that's the heart of it, isn't it!? I thought the exchange on the "sub results" was great-a lot of fun and a chance to release some stress and have a good time. To me, bottom line is if you don't like the direction of a discussion, DON'T read it. There are so many possibilities for discussion on this forum and most will learn something. The discussion about 5/6 year olds crying was very eye-opening and touching. If a person didn't learn from that one, they must be very cold. I say keep this forum as is, and be a bit more accepting of others' ideas and enjoyment.

Have been away at relatives all afternoon for Easter Sunday and just returned home and decided to log in to check feedback on this post topic and low and behold the last to post to it i see is-...nix, again sharing his comedic talent. at first, ..you stated you realize that ok, I didn't give it much thought and yeah maybe I should use the PM and a little more consideration.

...But then you decide to go right back to your silliness and juvenile acting behavior and just a few post above decide to carry on your personal conversation with meditz. You two and a few others are showing your true colors.

I do believe in discussion Pe-Pa but not the conversations of a few of late whom feel it is their personal right to take over the forums in the manner in which they are using it and I sincerely feel that it is getting out of hand and I'm the bad guy now but I do it for the right reasons. Imagine if we have a thousand posters to the forum acting in this manner. All i'm asking is for the personal conversations be kept that. And I honestly don't think that is asking too much.

Now, on a personal note for me because you think I need to hide.
I beg to differ. I care about Kansas Wrestling and have been around the sport for over 20 years at all levels and although not starting til Jr.High was a kids State Champ both of my 16&U years. I also have been a high school state finalist, a Kids State referee, wrestling parent and youth coach.

Through wrestling I learned much about hard work, accomplishment, perseverance, will to win and knowing what it takes to be a champion. And in the same note, I also enjoyed the fact that I could shut knuckle heads that ran their mouth up "on the mat" but in a respectful manner and I can tell you I took on all comers even if I was outweighed 60 lbs and handled most too. But, ...I take greatest pride in that I had a great hs coach that kept all his pupils in line and genuinely cared about everyone from the beginners, scrubs, jv, varsity or his very best. He cared about how an individual turned out long term beyond his wrestling days. And I choose to remain around this sport to give back some of what it and many in KS wrestling circles has given and done for me.

So, ..please all I'm saying is that what Kansas Wrestling has become, is all about, ..is > you.

You don't have to respect me, .. but RESPECT that fact.

i have no reason not to respect you as a person or the sport, but still you spout off about 2 dozen post in an hour. where did you get those fact's, i have been unable to find where i did that. so show me some facts.

as far as you shutin up knuckle heads that ran there mouth, whats your point, if your truly that good maybe you should try the ufc. there always looking for newcomers. i just feel that comment was out of line for these post, why does some one always try resorting to violence.

i think you made a good point, but your also lieing about 24 post in an hour.

and all i am saying about this is, i to am a big fan of wrestling, and will be around the sport for a long time, yes some of my post are ment to be funny some not, but as me being a grown adult i will admit i get off topic, and your opinion does matter.

i have read all type of post on here, i have seen congradulations on a baby, sry to hear about a death, and the problems with some ones kids due to an disease. and all other types of post. and all those are personal do they belong here, yes because it is a wrestling community here, and people share there feeling's on here and that is great.

you say one thing on the forum then do the opposite, you have a problem with my post why just not pm me like you have stated.
no you put it out in the open you see now where thing's get blurry, you say one thing but do the opposite.

Some of you need to relax. I have been visiting this forum for 3 years. Every year at this time things get a little over the top. I see it as nervous energy being burned off by some overzealous moms & dads (self included). There are literally thousands of threads on this website. Do what I am getting ready to do, find one that does not offend you. I personally am going back to subdistrict results or I get sick! Good luck next week to all who qualified for State!

Mr. Nix, I am in no way resorting to violence. I have worked in a max prison and presently work with juvenile offenders and dont fear much but I am an adult and don't go around fighting. I was making a point in response to another poster about me feeling as if I need to hide. I wanted to be clear that No, I'm not needing to hide. I also have no need for further glory on the mat or in an UFC ring. I'm comfortable being a has been wrestler and having the privilege to give back to the sport.

I know that I am at this point doing a total contridiction to what I stated I would desire less of in these forums,>>direct conversation, but I felt compelled to speak publicly of my follow up to your post.

With that being said, lets steer clear of these personal conversations with another individual or two as it is just not necessary for everyone to read a conversation meant for a few people. Lets just move forward >>>>>

Good Luck to all this week @ State!

Mr. Calhoon,

First of all, just because YOU have a problem with the light hearted posting of 1 or 2 threads don't expect that to change anything. There are moderators in place that do a fine job keeping things in check.

Secondly, this has never been an issue of lack of respect for the sport of wrestling or you for that matter. The people on this WORLD WIDE WEB are going to have different priorities from time to time. Some of them feel that comedic sattire between fellow wrestling fans, dads or coaches is important, while some as yourself want to keep it nice and crisp full of only needed facts and information. One is no more correct or "right" in reason as you put it, it's the combination of the two that make this site what it is.

Finally, the folks that you are complaining about are the same people that worked their tails off setting up and tearing down for the tournaments this weekend, spending hours upon hours coaching every week, spending hundreds of dollars supporting this sport that we all love so dearly and raising their kids to do what it takes to be a wrestler. I think they(including myself) have earned the right to post whatever they feel is acceptable within the guidelines of this site.

In closing, I would like to add that you knew there would be nothing but silliness and juvenile behavior further down this thread and yet you chose to come here and read it. Time management that you complained of early on didn't seem to keep you to the threads that "matter". I guess I could have used the PM to send you this, but I had to get out a dictionary for some of the big words and I wanted everybody to take note of my use of paragraphs.

ok guy's i will try and get this under control, mainly it is me there talking about, i never meant no disrespect to anyone, and if any was taken that was not my intent.

on_the_mat made his opinion, now we do have to respect that, every one has one. i guess alot of what i have said i thought people liked guess i was wrong. i have been caught up bickering back and forth a few time just in my nature ask my wife.

i will try and keep the cracks, down and use pm more. but relize 1 thing if you would have sent me a pm, every one else would not be subject to this as well. and i would have got the same message out of it.

Gentlemen, I understand your points of view and am not in disagreeance, I'm just asking for a few to tone the personal conversations down a bit>>as in ~moderation~.

An ongoing thread on wrestling movies which recently started is a fantastic and helpful post to forum users that also uses direct responses. So No, it is not always bad. I'd be lieing if I said I didn't enjoy some of the witty postings but just feel it was getting out of hand.

besides that the more someone posts the more you get a feel for who that person really is. I have made some good and bad posts on here but I have really learned alot just reading and listening and being able to speak my peace. so if thats bad then I guess im headed back to confession. Cant wait to see fathers face when I have to confess that. Guess thats better then what I am usually confessing. No benelli not that bad. I have grown up just a little bit since highschool. Now Nix back to some more good topics.

hey nix there is a post about where are they now on the highschool section. this is one of my favorite topics. maybe you can add to that on this site or that site. I just like to hear about some of the wrestlers that i wrestled and wonder what they are doing now. so there you go.
