This is not the first time that privacy issues have been raised, and I'm sure it's not the last. All I can say is that the background screening is a requirement to obtain a USA Wrestling coaches' card - the decision over whether or not to submit to the background screen is up to the individual.
Personally, I know that there are many instances when I provide private information which could lead to identity theft. I try to be cautious about how and when, but it's difficult to get by in life without doing so. For example, to get a credit card or a bank loan I have to provide significantly more information than what TC logiQ is asking for. If that institution's records are compromised, either by an outside hacker or, more likely, by a disgruntled or unscrupulous employee, I have a problem. However, I want the card or loan and am willing to accept what I consider to be a minimal risk. When I submitted my information to TC logiQ for the background check, I did so for similar reasons.
If you want to find more information on how TC logiQ handles security of the information they obtain, I would suggest going to their website (
https://www.tclogiq.com/).
