There is no tournament that is mandatory but traditionally ALL of the Johnson County schools participate in the Johnson County Classic. No schools from outside of the county. Every weekend a good number of the Johnson County schools are in a local tournament competing against each other. At the end of the year the Sunflower and EKL league tournaments are comprised mostly of Johnson County schools. The 6A regional is comprised of Johnson County schools. My suggestion was to move the tournament to free up all of the schools to have a chance to compete in a tournament with wrestlers these schools would never see at any other tournament. Who cares if the tournament is in Missouri, Nebraska, or Kansas. Because of KSHSAA members such as yourself, wrestlers from Kansas are not permitted to go to Ohio, Pennsylvania, or Nevada for the biggest tournaments in the country but this one is close enough. It is an awesome tournament and I choose to promote it because it deserves promoting. I thought you were going away? I say if you don't have a horse in the race stay on the sidelines.
