You can practice in PE/gym shoes. Not the most comfortable or best thing in the world. If they are fortunate to have two pairs of the above, tell them to leave one at school and use them only for wrestling practice -- (helps keep the mats cleaner).

Can they go bare-foot for practice? I don't know. Others would know. MMA goes bare-foot all the time.

While doing all the above -- maybe they can have a car-wash or rake leaves or some other thing to earn the money needed for the shoes.
