Keller, Carlo, Mencini win first collegiate matches

Ypsilanti, Mich.-- Jordan Keller (125) and Rashard Goff (285) led Cleveland State in the season opening Eastern Michigan Open. The Vikings sent 16 wrestlers to the competition.
Keller, competing in his first collegiate match defeated Purdue's Matt Fields 7-2 and then followed that up with an 8-2 victory against Indiana's Chris Tanner to advance to the semi-finals against Purdue's Akif Eren, whom he defeated 2-1, putting him in the championship match against Navy's Pat McCaffery. Keller fell in hard fought match 3-1 to earn a second place finish.
