Another Kansas placer in the Elite Division was Jacob Marrs 4th at 197.

I see a lot of those 2008 5A state champions really had a great day yesterday. That is very impressive for Cotton to take 2nd in the Elite division as a freshman. Although we are accustomed to such accomplishments from Romero. The 171 5A 2008 finalists Tyler Koehn 157 and Scott Elliott 184 both take first in the Amateur Division. 5A 285 2008 champion Atticus Disney took 1st at 285 in the Amateur Division. 2008 champions Pete Tapia and Mitch Arnold also placed in the Amateur Division. Another 2008 5A champion Phillip Henes did not place there yesterday but he had a couple of good wins in the Amateur Division at 133. It was just a great day for all of these 2008 5A seniors.
