6A was updated 1/27, 4A on 1/26, 3A on 1/28 & 5A 0n 1/21

I like checking the rankings. I just sent some information to some college coaches last week on a few Kansas kids. I did not realize they were doing this on a weekly basis. Lots of research - many many hours, guys sick, guys dropping a weight,
guy who beat a guy who beat a guy who beat the other guy by a certain score - I think every week is overkill. I am still trying to figure out the true value of rankings. The biggest thing it helps kids get on the radar screen for college recruiters and useful for seeding meetings at regionals. It helps the high school coaches in trying to figure out who gets to state and what place the team COULD finish. I still think every week is to much.

The kansaswrestling.org site indicates they will be updated every wens. They set the expectation.

The rankings ARE a lot of work. I applaud the KWCA for making the rankings uniform in their format and reporting them to the various news outlets. I believe this was a critical step to advance our sport. I actually like the once a week updates. Many times during the week there are duals or omissions that should be corrected and making the updates less frequent would harm the process. My goal is to update the 6A rankings by Tuesday of each week.

My All-Class rankings are updated as needed when new information comes in. I also forward these rankings to WUSA Magazine and update the Kansas page to promote our state wrestlers, as the State Editor for that publication.

Any chance we can get to put our best foot forward to advance the cause of Kansas Wrestling has the potential to open doors for our student-athletes.
