Amen to that. Censorship is not cool (generally speaking).

Same thing happened with the 'Clay Center vs. Abiline' (sp?) thread. So, anyway - young kid that was big enough to apologize to Coach C - if you didn't get a chance to read my respond to your response prior to the 'board police' deleting the entire thread - I said in part, "good for you to be big enough to own up to your mistake and apologize to coach C." Many on this forum can/could/should (hopefully) learn from your positive example (the apologizing part).

Other than the original posters themselves, Forum Moderators are the only ones capable of deleting an entire topic. Currently there are three moderators:
Mike Juby Ryan Karjala Bill DeWitt
so it must have been one of those guys.
My guess is that somebody who was mentioned in these posts asked one of the moderators to delete them because the attacks were becomming personal and the attackers were not signing their names.
Does that help you Winston Smith?

I too wish we could get away from the thread deletions. I would prefer that the moderator delete individual posts as long as the moderator leaves a footprint so the author knows what and why it happened.

Agreed. If big brother is deleting posts/threads - he/they should lets us know why. And, they should not employ double standards. Callinngn others out BUT then protecting themselves by having whole thread deleted without any reason as to why.
Look out!!!
Is that an AXE SWINGING OVER MY HEAD!?!?!

All the post was saying was that the wrestler from Bishop Ward(alex orel) got disqualified and the team ended up with negative points. the next 3 or 4 replies were in defense of alex and praising him for a great year and everything he overcame to get there. One person said that he argued with the refs (not true by the way) but that wasnt that bad of a comment because if you were not really watching the match, that is what most people assumed happened. Can the person who deleted this thread let us know why, because i think it was a shame because the thread was really positive for alex and letting everyone know what kind of kid he is and bringing into the light the great year that he had. He wrestled only half of the schedule this year because he broke his collar bone in football and still managed to get second in his regional(losing to the eventual state champ sommer 6-0,). He had to wrestle newell(1st going into state), sommer(2nd)and eck(3rd) in 3 of his next 4 matches and gave every one of them a tough match(he beat eck).
Think twice before deleleted a thread, especially when it is bringing to light a great story in wrestling and an even better young man.

I posted to the thread. I described a BW coach 10 15 years ago. A good coach. Animated. Enjoyed watching him. Hewas coaching every minute of a match or tournament. I hope what I said did not upset someone and cause the thread to be deleted.

Who knows. If you dont post your name on this site your opinion means less for some reason. If the reason the thread was deleted because someone said something even a little negative but did not post their name, that is sad. Hope it is not true, but i doubt it.
