Couldn't agree with you more. My son commented to me about that no look shot too. My son was very impressed with the fake and the total commitment Woten made to it. It was as clutch of a move and match as I have ever seen in high school wrestling. Randy did a good job in his report drawing the comparison to the Levi Bowen heavyweight victory in the same event to secure the victory for the Kansas team in 2006.
You can't get a better dual than this one: big and loud partisan crowd for both sides of the state line, great matchups of state champions and high state placers from each state, back and forth victories for each team, upset wins over multiple state champions and everything coming down to that pivotal heavyweight match that is a mini David and Goliath matchup. Jake Woten's slingshot move worked for Kansas just as it did for David against Goliath.
Three out of the last four for our Kansas lads. I can't help but wonder what the infamous gutwrench1 must think about this turn of events!
