I agree.

Winfield has a nice gym and a nice open promenade but it was too small for this event. When everyone is bringing their entire clan with them you run into space issues. Might not have been a Gym in this Dist that could have prepared for that. Attendance to say the least was high for this one. A split session might have helped. However, I doubt it. Was nice to see they had chairs for the coaches this time that was a bonus for me.

The biggest complaint I heard all day was the seating issue and the heat. It was really stuffy in there for some reason. The mats were so an issue. Way to many restarts and not just on the big kids mats. Saw more crashes at this tournament than anywhere else this year here or in OK. (crashes= 4 wrestlers on two mats running into each other) The refs did a good job in my opinion, but when you got people going full tilt, nobody can control everything in tight spaces.

We waited a while for our bracket maybe and hour or a little less and when we got it the 2nd and 3rd placers were backwards. We decided not to fight that battle and left.

If you think something is wrong, let people know. Here on the forum or in person. Don't be afraid to voice your opinions. How many times have you heard. "Nobody said anything last year so we decided to do the same thing this year." Problems don't solve themselves, people solve them. Tell the right people and allow them to have the opportunity to make the change. Say nothing, expect nothing in return.
