Eric Mason had a shaky first period in his placement bout. He lost the first frame, 0-6. In the second, he started to shore up his strategy and won 0-1 on a push out. In the third, after 1.30 they were scoreless but Eric would have to defend the par terre. He was doing a great job but with about 8 seconds to go, gave up a two-point gut.

Samantha Lynch was sidelined in her bout with an elbow injury. She had lost the first frame, 3-6 and was tied, 1-1 in the second when the injury occurred.

Krista Revelle must have planned something else to do as in her next bout, she was only on the mat for 10 seconds! On the opening whistle, Krista stalked her foe to the edge of the mat. Krista powered her over and stuck her. Very impressive!
