Charby used his slideby to take a 1-0 lead which he held on to for the entire period. In the second, Charby and his Illini foe would need overtime to decide the period. The Illini won the flip and scored in the clinch. In the third, the Illini exposed Charbs with a short fireman which he turned into a fall.

Eck was controlled by a lad from Minnesota with the 2-on-1. Eck lost the 1st, 2-6. He lost the 2nd, 0-6.
