There are plenty of oportunities within the 500 mile limit to provide with ample competition. Let us do away with 4 state tournaments and have 1. Norton wanted to go to the GC tournament but it is the same weekend as the MCL. Norton could have sent its JV which would have most likely won the tournament anyway but the other members of the league opposed the arrangment.

The biggest three tournaments in the country are: Beast of the East, Walsh Ironman, and Reno Tournament of Champions. There is never a fourth even mentioned! The recruiting rankings are based on a wrestler's performance at one of these tournaments more than any other tournament including Fargo. There are only a handful of national rankers and the college opportunities are largely driven by their opinions. To be denied the option to compete in these tournaments inhibits your ability to be rated "The Best" in the country. All three of these tournaments are outside of the STUPID travel restriction.
I agree! Lets do away with the four state tournaments. There may never be a 321A wrestler winning a state title again unless they open up their scheduling and start wrestling the toughest competition. Those league tournaments are a joke! They would be okay if we could wrestle 40 points instead of 30.
