SJA is hitting a little tournament in Oklahoma too... This rule prohibits Kansas kids from being able to showcase their talents on the biggest HS wrestling stages.

Look at it from this perspective. The rule was developed by calculating the maximum miles a school could travel within the state (approximately 500) and then making the rule "500 Miles from the border." This means that a school can travel 1000 miles. But... only if you travel across the state first. Does that make sense? If it doesn't make sense why should we stick our heads in the sand and let it remain the rule?
