If a kid does not make weight for sub district but only has three in bracket and one from the other side of sub dist...then he is not able to try to make weight again in district correct? Even if they are the only 4 going into district. So hes out for district. Did that make sense? lol...anybody know if this is correct? thx

If a wrestler does not make weight at Sub-district in the weight class entered, the wrestler's season is over.

The season may be over as for as State goes, but he can still enter in Nationals.

To qualify for folkstyle nationals you have to participate in the qualifing tournament, sub-district. I beleive Richard is correct, the wrestlers Folkstyle season is over. I think National entries are not really strict on that rule and would take a wrestler without verifying they participated in sub-districts. The fact they were entered and paid that entry may be enough.

You are correct for the Folkstyle Nationals but the RENO Nationals does not carry this qualification requirement.

Never even thought about Reno, the club has been discussing the USAW Folkstyle Nationals in Cedar Falls. Reno would be a tough tournament. Might as well take another shot at all-american, triple crown maybe? Dreams are nice and keep anyway. I would think Reno would be an expensive trip.
