Just got back from -1 degrees in Brookings to a balmy 43 here in Kansas!
The dual was rather lack luster with only six weights contested. South Dakota had numerous wrestlers out with skin infections and was forced to leave three spots open. Nebraska's and #1 ranked Jordan Burroughs had to head back to New Jersey for a family emergecy leaveing the 157lbs spot open in which Nick picked up the forefiet.
Good to see Huskers and fellow Kansans CJ Napeir and Tyler Kohen. Kohen did not wrestler but has looked impressive at 165lbs this year. CJ had several sweet single legs sweeps before pinning his opponent.
Next for the Jacks is the Reno Tournament of Champions on 20 Dec. Hoping to see Kansan Scott Elliot back in the Jacks lineup after the Christman break.
Nebraska will host a double-dual against No. 6 Central Michigan and Nebraska-Kearney next Saturday, Dec. 19
